Heat Shroud(TM) solves the problem of heat and abrasions causing failure of lines, hoses and wires without the need to disconnect them. Heat Shroud is made from a high temperature rated glass fiber fabric with an aluminized outer facing. Same as Heat Sheath but with the added convenience of hook & loop closure design along the open edges. Without the need of removing one end of connected wires, cables and hoses, simply wrap Heat Shroud around whatever needs protection and close edges. Heat Shroud protects against oil, dirt, road grime and is fireproof, can be shaped to fit the tightest bends and is available in multiple sizes to offer the versatility of fitting diameters from 0.5 - 2.5 inches. Offered in two different materials, both provide high-temperature protection and the added convenience of a hook-and-loop closure design that eliminates the need of removing one end of connected wires, cables, or hoses to install. Heat Shroud with glass fiber fabric and aluminized outer facing has the versatility of fitting diameters from 0.5 in. to 2.5 in. diameter, is easy to trim to length, and reflects 90 percent of radiant heat. For more demanding applications there is DEI Heat Shroud GOLD featuring metalized polyimide lamination, bonded to a robust 20 oz. heat-treated glass fiber base (rated to 1,100 degrees F) material. It is able to reflect radiant heat up to 800 degrees F and will fit diameters from 0.5 in. to 1.25 in.
