Skunk2’s Clear Anodized Rear Lower Control Arms for the ’02-’06 RSX and 03-08 Element are based off of the same technology the company’s been using on its own race cars for more than a decade and are a must-have for enthusiasts looking to fine-tune their suspension for maximum handling performance. Skunk2’s Rear Lower Control Arms are direct replacements, maintain OEM suspension geometry, and are ideal for street and race applications. Each arm is forged from aircraft-quality 2024 billet aluminum, precision CNC-machined, and is more than 25 percent lighter than the OEM arms. Skunk2 Rear Lower Control Arms also feature adjustable anti-sway bar mounting holes for advanced suspension tuning and optimum balance. The low-deflection, polyurethane bushings act as bearings for quicker response and a more positive feel. Skunk2 also eliminated tearing and un-seating problems typically associated with other fixed rubber bushings by allowing the arm to rotate freely about the bushings. Properly designed suspension components must be strong and functional first and aesthetically pleasing second. Skunk2’s Rear Lower Control Arms are both. Evolving from the original Skunk2 LCAs, Skunk2 Racing Pro control arms feature upgraded materials and a stronger design, making them must-haves for suspension tuning and maximum handling performance. Each Pro Series LCA is CNC machined from high-quality 6061 billet aluminum for weight savings (25 percent lighter than OEM) and increased strength and rigidity. They are fitted with low-deflection 80 durometer polyurethane bushings, providing a large increase in feedback and handling while offering lower NVH (noise/vibration/harshness) than harder or spherical bearing-type bushings. Tearing and un-seating issues are also eliminated. The Pro LCA's tapered I-beam design is engineered to eliminate twisting, bending, and stress risers, and the control arms are hard anodized, making them more durable against the elements and offering alternative colors.
